Okay lippe!! That color looks gorgeous on you. I also love the point you made about talking to your mom! Such an underrated source of knowledge when it comes to this. I always leave your posts learning more and feeling like a better advocate for my health!
Thanks for reading, Tina! Dr. Gunter is such a voice of reason in the noisy menopause/medicine world. And Nutrafol, oof, thatβs a topic unto itself π
Yes, love that you brought this up. I'm 41, turning 42 this year, and I'm wondering if maybe I'm starting. I still have a normal period, they are becoming lighter for sure. What I do seem to notice is my mood. I'm more sensitive way before my period comes. I haven't had any changes on my face or hair, so that was good to know.
Thank you! And SAMEβIβm also going to be 42 this year and the mood symptoms are definitely escalating (sorry family!!). No hair and skin changes for me yet either, but Iβll def be writing about it when they happen! π
Iβve been consistently breaking out in acne for the last 6-8 months (after 35.5 years of great skin) and have been on a JOURNEY to figure out why. Juryβs still out, but do you think itβs worth asking my derm to look into my hormones? Iβm at my wits end!!
It could be worth checking hormones, especially if you have a history of other hormonal symptoms (heavy/irregular/painful periods, history of PCOS or endometriosis, etc). Even if everything comes back βnormalβ, I think that almost all acne in females in their 30s is hormonal to some extent. Meds like spironolactone can be a game changer if youβre really struggling!
Such good info! Officially in my late 30s so very relevant π
Thank you!! Official late 30s is def a milestone! π

Thank you, Traci!! And that means so much to me that youβre able to better advocate for yourself, makes this all worth it <3
And yes moms!! Understanding our family health histories is so valuable!
Thank you for these insights! Agree on Dr. Gunter - her article on Nutrafol so enlightening and I share it with people considering taking it.
